Overview
The Dalmatian breed is very old and it is believed that these dogs are originally from a section called Dalmatia in Yugoslavia. Dog endurance and size and guard them breed preferred English upper classes. In 1800 the Dalmatian was used more often as guard dogs and horse and dog transportation. They protected the contents of transport by running near them. Dalmatians was perfect so we are very loyal dogs with lots of stamina. These breeds have also been used to guard the camps for American soldiers during the first and second world war. The Dalmatian is the most used as Firehouse dogs.
Temperament
The Dalmatian is very social and loves human attention. They are very responsive and will not do well when left alone for too long. If you become a sole or bored to death will become miserable and destructive. The Dalmatian is proposed for homes with small children and very lively. Naturally get along with other household pets have been brought up with, but he holds animosity because they are not familiar with dogs. This strain wary of strangers and make great Sergeant. Dalmatian will bark only when necessary.
Care
The Dalmatian requires daily brushing with a firm bristle brush hair to reduce hair loss. More attention should be given during heavy shedding seasons coat. Dalmatians should not be bathed when deemed necessary, really mild shampoo is recommended to protect the coat and skin. These dogs will do well in extreme weather conditions, and are likely to face problems with ticks and fleas.
Training
Training should not make use of Dalmatians negative reinforcement. Although these dogs are even tempered, can become a nuisance when you punish or abused publicly. Keep teaching your dog through positive reinforcement so that they learn the instructions. Easier to train dogs, but can still adult dog training with some stamina and consistency.
Health problems
Dalmatians struggle with two major health issues, these are deafness and kidney stones. These issues really due to heredity and breeding of pure, and sometimes also age. It is advised that you buy your puppy from a breeder with puppies, official that tests the Baer test with. Gallstones can cause pain your dog, but luckily it is not very common in most Dalmatians.
